Presents Come In All Forms, eCards Are One

December 26th, 2006 by roz

When we were children… many of us – including me – misguidedly looked to the holidays as a time for receiving presents / gifts.

When we grew up, most of us hopefully realized there were more important things attached to holiday time!  One very important gift is the gift of reaching out to loved ones, friends, family, business associates, prospective clients and mostly those less fortunate that might be alone and lonely at holiday time.

There is so much going on in the world, that sometimes we don’t see the things that are right in front of us.  We assume that everyone is happy at holiday time – NOT.  For me, this holiday season is one of the saddest.  While I could have spent it with friends, I chose to be alone and “just be.”  For me, this year is a time to grieve for a friend – my best friend – who passed away twenty years ago this past Thanksgiving.  The realization of the Twentieth Anniversary before Thanksgiving shook me to the core as it seems like yesterday.  To think that twenty years have passed so quickly!  The reason why I am sharing this is to make a point.  I chose to be alone this holiday, but there are many who have no choice!

As we grow older we realize life happens.  People move away, drift away and yes… even die.  Those who had big families are sometimes suddenly left alone at holiday time.

Consider this…  Wouldn’t it be great to reach out and bring a smile to someone’s face.  Let them know you are thinking of them!

While this is not always easy as people don’t always live close to us, now-a-days more and more people have Internet access.  Take the time to send a Say It With eCard Greeting.  You will be glad you did!
